Sand Lake Volunteer Fire Department Today
Over the course of time, the fire department has grown. Today, the department covers all of Franklin Township and a portion of Manchester Township (under contract).
Currently there are approximately 25 members, men and women alike, ready to respond at a given minutes notice. We respond to approximately 360 calls a year, ranging from fires, medical emergencies, automobile crashes, trees/wires down, carbon monoxide alarms, weather watch and citizen assists. Additionally, the fire department participates in mutual aid, meaning that other departments can easily call for our assistance on their emergencies, as we can call upon others as well.

Membership Roster as of September 2023
